I want to blog more, but...

I'm so sorry that this blog hasn't been updated in such a long time. It's not that we don't want to post, it's just that there is so much other stuff going on that we completely forget. I have plans to start posting again so give me some encouragement to get it done. Hope you all are doing well!

Saying Goodbye

(At a train station)
Piggy: Saying goodbye, going away
Seems like goodbye's such a hard thing to say
Kermit: Touching our hands, wondering why
Both: It's time for saying goodbye.

(On a country road with Scooter on bicycle)
Scooter: Saying goodbye, why is it sad?
Makes us remember the good [blogs] we've had
Much more to say, foolish to try
It's time for saying goodbye.

(In the back of a truck with Camilla)
Gonzo:
Don't want to [blog], but we both know
Sometimes its better to go

(On a Greyhound bus)
Rowlf:
Somehow I know, we'll meet again
Not sure quite where and I don't know just when

(On the roadside, hitchhiking)
Floyd: You're in my [blog], so until then
Electric Mayhem: It's time for saying goodbye.

(In a freight train car)
Fozzie:
Somehow I know, we'll meet again
Not sure quite where and I don't know just when
You're in my heart so until then
Wanna smile
Wanna cry
Saying goodbye

All except Kermit & Fozzie:
La la la la, la la la la
It's time for saying goodbye
La la la la, la la la la
La la la la-la la la.

Goodbye for now, Blahg. It was a good 365 days. Maybe I'll see you in two or three months.

August

I had to post at least something in August so that I wouldn't be missing a month in my archives. Come back September 1 for my "I've been blogging for a year now" anniversary post!

Day One Done

Day one of work: completed. If I work for 5 days a week, 48 weeks a year, for 40 years, I have 9600 days to go. Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead.

Is it a bad sign if my line of thinking is "I hope I like working in general" rather than "I hope I like working at Company X"? I mean, no summers? No spring break? 9601 days of work?

I guess if Psalm 84:10 is true, "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere," then it will only take about 9.6 days of heaven for me to forget about work all together.

Syllabus Day

Guess who's back. Back again. Suzie's back. Tell a friend.

Tomorrow, I enter the real world. This day that I've been counting down from since the middle of March. June 6. The day I start my first full-time job.

I was pretty nervous earlier (as in, crying uncontrollably) until I read over my new hire packet and saw the agenda for the orientation tomorrow. All day, the only things I have to do are watch movies about ethics, safety, and diversity and sign up for my benefits. It'll be like the first day of class - syllabus day.

That's nothing to be nervous about. Syllabus day is fun. It's Tuesday that I'm worried about now.
